Pressure sensors for shot shell measurements, shoulder-sealed, for high speed events up to 1500 bar (21700 psi) / 6239A

These piezoelectric pressure sensors are used for measurements of high pressures at high speeds. The design is ideally suited for shot shell measurements in tangential configuration. The sensor is specifically tested and accepted by SAAMI.

6239A

These piezoelectric pressure sensors are used for measurements of high pressures at high speeds. The design is ideally suited for shot shell measurements in tangential configuration. The sensor is specifically tested and accepted by SAAMI.
Main features / advantages
  • Measurement range: 1500 bar (21700 psi)
  • Excellent linearity (≤0.5%)
  • Ideally suited for shot-shell measurement
  • Mounting thread options: 3/8-24 UNF or M10x1

Rugged design and robust crystal sensing elements ensure a long lifetime of these high pressure sensors even under demanding operating conditions. The sensing element is made of KI85 crystal, a Kistler proprietary material that offers a significantly higher sensitivity than a quartz element of the same dimension. Due to the excellent linearity of this sensor, it can be used to make very accurate measurements of very small pressures. The special diaphragm design yields equal pressure values in tangential measurement and in conventional pressure measurement.
