Optical target systems for dispersion and velocity measurements, mobile and robust (IP66), 50 … 3000 m/s / 2523A

These optical target systems are used for dispersion and velocity measurements. They are suited for subsonic, supersonic and near sonic projectiles (50 … 3000 m/s). The system is applicable in challenging environments thanks to IP66.

2523A

These optical target systems are used for dispersion and velocity measurements. They are suited for subsonic, supersonic and near sonic projectiles (50 … 3000 m/s). The system is applicable in challenging environments thanks to IP66.
Main features / advantages
  • Large velocity range (50 … 3000 m/s)
  • Caliber range: 4 … 40 mm
  • Accuracy for velocity measurement down to <0.2% (depending on velocity)
  • Accuracy for dispersion measurement down to <5 mm
  • Well suited for harsh environments (IP66)
The family Type 2523A is ideally suited to measure projectile dispersion and velocity. The target screen works in the infrared spectrum. This provides very good measurement accuracy for a wide range of velocities of subsonic and supersonic ammunition. With appropriate filters, the measurement of near sonic projectiles is also easily possible. The target screen is designed to be fully compatible with transient recorder family Type 2519A. The analog output signal provides a high quality representation of the physical projectile shape. This allows to choose the appropriate type of velocity measurement (tip-tip, end-end, or any combination), which works best with the used projectile shape.
