Miniature industrial charge amplifiers with peak detection and switchable measuring ranges / 5039A

The miniature charge amplifiers convert the electrical charge signals yielded by piezoelectric sensors into inverted proportional voltage. The rugged metal housing covers a degree of protection from IP40 up to IP65 to meet industrial requirements.

5039A

The miniature charge amplifiers convert the electrical charge signals yielded by piezoelectric sensors into inverted proportional voltage. The rugged metal housing covers a degree of protection from IP40 up to IP65 to meet industrial requirements.
Main features / advantages
  • Variants covering full-scale range: ±500 … ±50000 pC
  • 2 measuring ranges switchable via remote control
  • Output signal: ±10 V or 4 … 20 mA
  • Customer specific modifications available
  • Analog peak output: 0 … 10 V (positive peaks only)
The miniature charge amplifier has a hybrid negative feedback amplifier with extremely high input impedance in its input stage. Thanks to a differential input circuit common mode signals up to ±4 V between Sensor Low and Output (resp. Supply Ground) remain effectless; both of these circuit points are only connected through R/C elements. A further R/C combination is wired between Output resp. Supply Ground and the ground of the housing. This avoids interferences due to a “floating” housing. Instant output signal (Output) and stored peak value (Output Peak) are simultaneously available at separate connectors. The reset of the peak value occurs simultaneously with the Reset of the charge amplifier input. The inputs Operate and Range II are controlled through optocouplers (electrical isolation). An unstabilized DC voltage of 18 to 36 V suffices for operation of Type 5039A with a required current of approximately 30 mA.
