Current and current pulse sensors, AC and DC, for wire diameter 13.5 to 15 mm, measuring range ±300 A / M715A

The current and current pulse sensors of Type M715 are used for the measurement of DC and AC currents as well as current pulses.

M715A

The current and current pulse sensors of Type M715 are used for the measurement of DC and AC currents as well as current pulses.
Main features / advantages
  • Small dimensions
  • Supply voltage: 4.5 ... 10.5 V
  • Sensitivity: 12 mV/A (10 V)
  • Shock resistant up to 200 g
  • Overload safe up to 400 A
  • Low weight (50 grams)
The current pulse sensor is based upon the hall measuring principle and enables the indirect measuring of amperage in a wire. The measuring signal is galvanically isolated from the live wire, its current should be measured. Furthermore it is not necessary to split the live wire. Variations in the live wire produce a variation in the magnetic field around the wire. A hall sensor with toroidal core detects the variations of the magnetic field and delivers an output voltage, which is proportional to the current. The quality of the supply voltage linearily flows into the sensitivity and therefore into the measuring range.
